Royal Wahingdoh Football Club Private Limited was officially incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. The club was established with a vision to professionalize football in Meghalaya and provide structured pathways for local talent.
The club made its debut in the I-League 2nd Division, showcasing impressive performances and laying the foundation for future successes. The youth academy was formally launched this year.
Royal Wahingdoh FC achieved promotion to the I-League, India's top football division, after a spectacular season in the 2nd Division. This marked a historic moment for football in North-East India.
The club's debut season in the I-League was remarkable, finishing third in the league table – the highest ever by a debutant club at that time. The team earned widespread acclaim for its attractive style of play.

The Royal Wahingdoh FC Youth Academy is the cornerstone of our club's philosophy. Established in 2012, the academy aims to identify, nurture, and develop young footballing talent from Meghalaya and across North-East India.
We provide comprehensive training programs for age groups U-8 to U-18, focusing on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical development, and mental conditioning. Our certified coaches follow a curriculum aligned with international best practices.
